We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established multi-franchise dealer group, who are seeking an experienced and driven Service Manager to lead their busy dealership in the Dudley area.
This is a key leadership role within the business, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and understands the importance of maintaining manufacturer standards while delivering exceptional customer service.
The Role
As Service Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Service Department. You will lead and inspire a team of technicians, a Workshop Controller, and front-of-house staff to deliver operational excellence and outstanding customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and continuously improve customer service levels, working closely with Parts and Sales departments
- Identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions, including training and process improvements
- Develop and manage Service Department plans, budgets, and financial targets
- Analyse market potential and produce accurate revenue forecasts
- Control departmental costs, profitability, and productivity using management accounts
- Monitor workshop efficiency, debtors, and working capital performance
- Plan and execute sales and promotional activities to support department growth
- Lead, motivate, and develop all service personnel through structured training programmes
- Contribute to the wider management team and support dealership PR and business development initiatives
Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience in an Aftersales/Service Manager role within the automotive sector (essential)
- Experience within a franchised dealership environment
- Strong understanding of financial and operational performance metrics
- Experience with volume brands is advantageous
- PLC experience is desirable but not essential
- Demonstrable success in improving CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) and delivering above-budget financial performance
